The growing population, rise in living costs, the on going war, urbanization, have made the senior citizens undergo many difficulties. They have become the silent victims in society. Some are fortunate to find a home, but many are living under the poverty line, homeless, and living on the streets.

Though there are institutions that would care for senior citizens, they are unaffordable to the majority, and there are many of these elders who need care and have requested us to help. This birthed the idea of “Eagle’s Nest”, a home that would accommodate and care for these abandoned  elders free of charge.

In order to fulfil this need, ”Eagle’s Nest”  was established on the 1st of October 2008 at Hendala, Wattala, 15 Km North of Colombo city.

“Eagle’s Nest” is a loving Christian environment that offers compassion, gentleness, cordiality and respect for individuals dignity and privacy in their Golden Years.

“Eagle's Nest” will serve  ten to fifteen senior women. Our commitment however does not end here, ours is a national and continuous one.

Our vision is to establish 50 homes in all 25 districts of our nation, both for senior men and women.
